Well well as you can see it has been a really long time since the last time I blogged, there has been so much going on mostly just kids and work and school. My youngest brother JJ died on Feb. 9 2010, and since then life has been very different and sometimes very difficult. I know he is in a way better place and is so much happier and able to progress but there are the days for me that I just cry thinking about him and how he died. It was a little bit traumatic for me, he was in a great deal of pain and it really was a slow way to die. He died from liver failure due to taking too many Tylenol PM. Now we have no Tylenol or acetiminophen

(?) in our home. It is so bad for your body it is amazing. So many people have no clue what they are doing to their livers by taking these products. What is maddening to me is that the Drs. are always telling you that it is the only safe thing to take when you are pregnant, now I wonder how true that really is. I know that now knowing what I know from the Drs. and nurses at the ICU I have a really hard time taking any kind of medication let alone give anything to the kids. To JJ I miss and love you bud!!

I know it has been a while but this summer has been incredibly busy. It seems like last week was the beginning of the summer...whew! Ok so let's review what the Dellingers did this summer....

Nothing but everything!! Seriously it seems we did absolutely nothing but we were busy the whole summer. June was Parker and Brielle's b-days, we had a big family bash at Murray Park with almost the whole family, at least all the kids were there even if their parents weren't. Mom and Dad brought a ton of food, candy, cake, soda, toys and fun!! For the kids the huge snakes were the highlight. I will have nothing to do with snakes so Allen got all the pics. July we celebrated the 4th here at home, we went to the neighborhood breakfast and parade and then mostly chilled the rest of the day. The rest of the month we just worked and did the same old thing we do all day everyday, the 20th was McKay's b-day, he had some friends over and played the Wii and played outside. August 2nd was our family reunion in Enterprise for the Randall side (Grandma Allen) it was interesting!! The rest of the weekend was a blast. All the adults and adults only went to dinner and then we went bowling, FUN FUN FUN I had no idea my parents and my sisters were so good at it. Oh and Allen is good too. Then we were able to get the kids ready for Back to School!! Yeahhhhh... just kidding I love having the kids around... (for awhile) now we are here in Sept. and we are still just as busy, Allen and Parker and Morgan are always gone on Tuesday nights for Bishopric meetings and Young Men and Young Women activities and then starting next month on tuesdays I will be busy with the Webelos in our ward. oh yeah and I am also playing on a co-ed soccer team on monday nights, I have never played soccer ever not even just for fun with neighborhood kids or anything, so the first time I played I found that I TOTALLY LOVE soccer!! It is so much fun! Now I want my kids to play. Yeah good luck on that one!! And now on Thursday and Friday nights and Saturdays I am working at ROSS, which I totally love, but I think I am just feeding my addiction to clothes shoes and handbags working there. Oh well I can rise above!! hehe yeah!! OH yeah and I didnt do the triathlon we were too late in signing up because they only allow 1000 athletes. Better luck next year, which is probably better because it gives me that more time to train and get over my fear of swimming. Here are some pics from all of our adventures.

My Summer Goal!!

My friend Natalie and I are going to do a mini Triathalon in August so we have set up an exercise and nutrition plan. Mostly to lose weight but we had to have a goal. The triathalon will consist of biking 10 miles, running 3 miles and swimming for 800 yards. The biking and running are really no prob for me but the swimming I am going to have to practice alot on. A swimmer I am not, but Natalie has done this before and she will be a great coach, even though she probably doesnt know I think of her in that way. She has also run the St. George Marathon so I feel like I am in good hands. At least she will know what she is doing. I cant wait I think it will be a fun adventure. So wish me luck!!

Girlie Girl

Everyday we find that Brielle is more and more a girlie girl. She is so funny, she is always saying "eww that is gross mom" the other day we were watching noggin and in between the cartoons they have little spots with kids doing some kind of craft or planting things well on this day they had two little kids showing how worms make their homes in the dirt. So they got a clear jar and put dirt and rocks and stuff in it then they dug up some worms from the garden, the little girl on the show picked up one of the worms to put it in the jar and Brielle with a horrified look on her face looks at me and says " EWWW Mom that is soo gross!!" I couldn't help but laugh and she just sat there going " ewww gross" over and over, and since then when ever she thinks something is gross she always pulls the face and says "ewww that is so gross" . This is funny to me because none of the boys ever did this and neither did Morgan, she was always right there with her brothers digging in the dirt and playing with "gross stuff". She also has become aware that she doesn't like her hands and face to be messy either. This all just makes me laugh!!

Stevie is my hero

When we went to St. George for Easter in March my so sweet sis in law Stevie brought me this wonderful gift. I got hooked on this anti frizz serum awhile ago and when I started to run out and went to the store to buy more I couldnt find it anywhere every store I went to I would look for this and no one had it. Stevie was at a store farther north than where we live and found 5 bottles of it. So she bought a few and was kind enough to give me a bottle. I was sooo happy I almost cried. Now I found out that they changed the bottle, so now I will have to start looking again for the new bottle, because I am such a dork I just look for the bottle shape and not the actual name of the product. Again Stevie THANK YOU so much!!! You are truly a hair hero!! :)

By the way this is what the new bottle looks like for those of you who are like me and just look for the bottle shape!! Oh also I guess I should put in a rave for why I love this product. I color my hair alot and it gets the wonderful haystack feel and look so I tried this stuff and fell in love, it made my hair feel soft, I was able to run a brush through it when it is wet and it has these great conditioners in it so while it is in your hair it is actually doing something good for it. I love this stuff !! I might have to become like Elaine on Seinfeld when she hordes the sponges, but my horde will just be anti frizz serum!!

I know, I know I am a major slacker when it comes to keeping this blog up to date, but hey cut me some slack, I am the mom of 6 (well only 5 are here at home) I have to pick up, drop off, make it to all their appointments on time, plus pick up something for dinner!! Yeah right just kidding I actually sorta cook, if spaghetti , mac and cheese, sandwiches is considered cooking. Wow we have been busy. The kids are in school still and it just seems like I live my life in the car. Allen is working from home now. I'm not completely sure how this is going for him, for me and the other kids, it has been different. We have to be quiet alot and gone alot, but the kids think it is fun to "walk dad to work" with cereal on the way!! My sister Ashlynn had her baby on March 31, 2008, and we couldn't be more happy for her. She had a girl her name is Lucy and she is just sooo cute. I havent seen her in person yet but I will get to the first weekend in May. Which reminds me, the girls that I get together with once a month have planned a weekend getaway to St. George that same weekend. I am sooo excited about this. I think every mom and wife needs to spend a weekend away with all the girls, just to do girlie things and relax. Which we will definetly be doing as long as the weather stays nice and warm there. As for me I just do my mom stuff and try to keep Allen happy, man I need a hobby, or hey maybe I will go back to school. That would be cool then I could get my license and really do hair, yeah that would be way cool!! Well then back to reality, I really need to stop daydreaming, so if anyone is looking for the perfect gift to give me it would be money toward hair school!! :) I can dream!! WOW!! that was weird anyway back to my boring life..... ahh never mind!!

Ok I found a new really cool thing to do on Mondays with my awesome friends. The Larry H Miller theaters host a mommy on mondays thing where all the kids are free under 5 and moms get in for $5. WOOHOO now that Allen is going to be working from home this will be a life saver for us. Today we saw Horton hears a Who. Cute movie, the kids sat thru the whole thing so that was fun, the only thing is that there are babies crying and kids screaming and popcorn and candy everywhere. But it was great fun!! After that we went to McDonalds and the kids played, Brielle got stuck on the very top level so of course who had to go in after her? Yep that's right it was me and let me tell you those playareas are not made for people over 4 feet tall!! OUCH on my back!! What a fun day tho and looking forward to next week.

Long Boring Weekend!!

Ok so maybe not long but it is boring!! Well maybe not for Allen, tonight was his first time going out with the guys in our ward. They are going to a movie, they wanted to see Semi Pro but we found out this evening that it is rated R. Too bad, cuz it kinda looked funny. Two wednesdays from now tho it will be my turn with the girls so that's not so bad, but really this weekend blew!! The only "fun" thing we did was get breakfast at McDonald's. YIPPEEE!! the fruit and yogurt thing was good. Oh yeah and Allen and I got to grocery shop at Wal-Mart kid free, that was kinda nice. AAHHH I need help any suggestions for two old people with kids on how to have a fun weekend??? Please leave your comments! :)

Last night was our wards Blue and Gold Banquet, as I am now in the Webelos den I did have a part of that, we did fried chicken and salad and chips with chocolate cake, wow what a mess when all the parents just let their boys get cake on their own. We had chocolate cake everywhere it was amazing where we found chocolate cake while we were cleaning up. We even had to mop the cultural hall and the kitchen, I have never been part of a clean up where we have had to get the mops out. It was fun tho, our boys got to help with the flag ceremony for the first time at pack meetings and it went great. Kelly is the other leader in our den and what a cutie she is. I found last night that we are the same in alot of ways when it comes to planning and then executing a function. Needless to say we did learn that this is Scouts not Enrichment and things arent always going to be perfect how our minds eye has seen them! :) Oh well the boys are great and funny and getting together with all the families is a blast. I have pics but not on the puter yet so you'll have to just wait.

saturday night was really fun with our friends, we also had Allie and Jackson for the night, so we had a really rockin' house that night! We found that our friends are really good at all the games but I really am not very good at them, especially Guitar Hero!! oh well we had fun anyway.

Ok so this is really how I have felt lately!! Allen is now the 2nd counselor in the bishopric, so now our home is much busier along with all that is already going on. Wii have become a bit addicted, but it's all fun & games (haha)!! Tomorrow night we are having friends over for a Wii party! So exciting!! I'll tell all about it after. My sweetheart gave me an Ipod touch for V day so I will be able to blog more often as I won't have to be at the puter anymore!! Speaking of which I am running out of battery gotta run!!

Ok I know I have been sooo lazy with the blog but I decided today I would sit down and catch up. So let's see since Sept. ..... Oct. we went to St. George for Halloween, we visited with my Grandpa and Grandma Dunn, the kids love to visit with them, as do Allen and I. I always forget to take our camera tho and so I dont have a pic of them but next time we are there I will definetly remember to take the camera. We also helped put together the spook alley(?) or haunted yard (I dont know) but that was tons of fun and did other really fun stuff in the week we were in St. George. I will get the pics posted on here as soon as Allen puts them on the computer for me! :( I know I am dumb when it comes to that kind of stuff. I secretly think he likes keeping me in the dark on this kind of stuff. Oh yeah I also finished the vampire series, just last night in fact. Now I cant wait for the next book. We have been crazy busy with kids and school and church and every thing else in our lives. Allen's nephew Wade was baptized on Nov. 10th and that was a really cool thing, he decided on his own to do that, so it was a really cool thing for all of us to attend. Nov. so far has been busy, we hosted our State Council Meeting for Sorority on Saturday, that was a lot of work but it went good I think. I think I am a lousy President for my chapter this year and I should probably step it up!! HMMM, maybe?! We are staying here in the SL Valley for Thanksgiving, Allen's sister Hiedi and her husband and daughter from Seattle are going to be here today for the week, that will be fun I will take pics of all that we do. Well all for now.... Toodles!!

Today is our Anniversary, we have been married 14 yrs. WOW!! Time really does go by fast! I cant believe Allen has stuck around for so long! hehe just kidding he is a great guy and husband! Happy Anniversary honey!! Luv ya! :)

Wow this week has been busy, busy , crazy!! I feel like I start the next day as soon as a new day starts, meaning I havent been sleeping so great!! I hate that!! But anyway here is our week so far, Monday was the holiday of course, but it seems like whenever everyone is home on a weekday nothing ever gets done and my daily schedule goes out the window. Tuesday was Aidan's first day of preschool, that went really good, and he loves it. In fact he loves it so much that he starts asking me to get him to school at 8:00 in the morning , he doesn't need to be there until 11:30. He goes on tuesday,wednesday and thursday, so I am just waiting until tomorrow when he doesn't have to go to deal with, "GET ME TO SCHOOL MOM". Doesn't seem like a busy week but with having to get the other kids off to school help with homework and get Aidan to school at 11:30 and pick him up at 1:30 I feel like I am constantly on the go. It's good tho, now I just wish I could sleep at night!!

I'm sorry to say this but I have never been so happy to have the kids go back to school! Now that they are getting older the fighting and bickering and name calling and dirty looks are getting worse and louder!! The house is so quiet with just Aidan and Brielle here, who thought I would ever say that, but it is true those two get along great. They play together and watch cartoons together, take naps together and they even bug me together!! :) Well at least they give me that pleasure so we can get it all out at once! So to all those moms that cry when the kids go back to school, I have just one thing to say to you :P (that is supposed to be a raspberry) hehe sorry if that offends anyone!! :)

The other night after we had all eaten Allen and I decided we needed to just chill out and relax so we went up to our bedroom to watch some TV and lounge on our bed. We thought the kids were all in the basement playing together and Parker was putting away the food and doing the dishes. About a half hour later Allen and I looked at each other and thought it was way too quiet and we could hear someone in the kitchen, Allen decided to check things out, so he gets to the kitchen and I could hear him say something to Brielle. A few minutes later Allen comes up stairs with the camera and says look what Brielle has been doing.... These are the pictures I saw, what is funny though is all we could do is giggle about it. We should know better than to leave any of the kids alone!!! If you cant tell this is a whole tub of butter!!

So the story continues.... We get a new van, the nicest so far, and some guy rearends me on the freeway!!!! AAAHHH I am telling you we are jinxed when it comes to having something new and nice. If the Dellingers get something new by all means someone please destroy it or break it!! The worst of it was that this happened on a Monday morning and there were 2 other wrecks in the same location as my wreck. I had just dropped Allen off at work and I was in my Jammies, not cute ones either!! It was just me and Brielle and we are fine, Brielle didnt even cry or anything, and thank heaven for the new DVD player in the van (THANK YOU AGAIN DAD!!) to keep her occupied while I dealt with the guy and the highway patrol guy. It isnt a huge wreck but it will be expensive to repair. I'm just glad this time we dont have to pay for it.

Whoahhh! the summer is just flying by and we have done so much already. I have pics so I will just highlight some of the things and places we have been. We have been to the zoo twice and then Allen and I went on TREK, that was such a great experience and the kids in our family were fabulous. Then we had Parker's B-day he is 13! And then it was Brielle's B-day she is 2! After that we went to Timpanogos, the granite flats campgrounds and had our Dellinger kids and mom reunion. That was great fun. Then it was the 4th of July and the neighborhood breakfast was a bigger hit than last years and of course a huge water fight sent me home. :) We watched the fireworks with a few of our friends and that was fun. Then it was my B-day and I went downtown and had lunch at the Nauvoo Cafe, they have the best sandwiches ever, with Connie, Allen's mom. We rode Trax and took Brielle, she loved the train. And then we went to St. George for a quick weekend trip. And then in between those times I was busy with kids and all their stuff, especially since Morgan and McKay didnt get out of school until June 30th. We had to get a new van, the ford DIED on us, the same day we were getting ready to go to the mountain. Luckily we were at home and not on our way up the canyon. But of course then we had to rent a vehicle until we could look for a new one. That always is a bummer!!! Oh well the story of the Dellingers I guess. :)

One Week!

There is only one week until we go on the trek and I am sooo excited!! I only dread that it might rain or worse snow and it will be cold at night. I have been walking in my walking shoes and my teva's and the teva's gave me a blister, better now than when we get up there and on the trail. But boy does it hurt!! :( Any how I am thinking that living so close to IKEA is probably not a really good idea! :) I love to go over and look at the beds and storage stuff plus they have this really great chocolate. The restaurant isnt bad either, pretty good food and good prices on everything. Maybe someday I will get my dream bed?! :)

Holy Cow!! I have been lazy, busy, mostly lazy with keeping up on this. Well alot has gone on since the last update, Kari's funeral was very nice and alot of people were there, but it was very nice. Evan and Ellie seem to be doing ok, but that is just what is being said, I'm sure at home alone they are missing her. We have been busy almost every night of every week it seems, either with church stuff or the kids stuff or getting ready for the Trek on June 20th. We finally got our garden planted and it is already starting to grow so that is exciting. Aidan's strawberries are growing big and starting to turn red, he is soo excited about that. Last night at about 9:30 he comes into our room and tells us that his tummy is hungry for strawberries, so we let him and Morgan go out and pick a couple of ripe ones. Sometimes he kills us with the things he comes up with. We got a Hogle Zoo family pass for the year and so we have gone a couple of times so far. I have some pics from that so I will post them. It has been getting very warm and then last night we got hit with a storm and cold front so now today it is cold and rainy. Is it just me or is the weather getting kinda crazy lately? You all know what that means, right? Or am I just crazy?? could be hehe!!

My friend Kari Mason passed away early Sunday morning after battling Cancer. She is the most amazing person I think I have met in a long time. She was so optimistic about everything and such a great example of kindness and how to be so loving. She made me feel like I was her best friend, even though she had many friends. I will miss her so much, but I do know she is happy and free of that horrible disease and that makes me happy for her. She is so beautiful in so many ways.

Sorority news

Last night I was installed as my chapter's new president. My chapter is Alpha Alpha in the womens organization Epsilon Sigma Alpha. We are one chapter of 9 in Utah, it is a great organization. We do alot of volunteer work and charity work for local charities and organizations. Our main fundraising goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. And in turn they help with Primary Children's when it is needed also. So we win either way it is wonderful. I like being a part of this group because I like to volunteer and it also gives me some adult time away from kids! :) I didnt get any pictures because like the forgetful person I am, I forgot my camera.

Aidan for the past month and a half since we got back from St. George has been going to everyone in the house and saying,"Pull my finger", with the outcome as you all well know. I asked him the other day why he keeps saying that and where he learned it and he looks at me and says ," Duh mom from Coby"!! So just a great big THANKS to COBY for teaching him this wonderful thing. :) I just hope he never asks someone in public to do this!! By the way Coby Aidan worships the ground you walk on for this one. :} Hope you have a great day, funny man! :)

Some really fun news!!

Allen and I were called the other night by the Stake to go on a Youth Trek for Youth Conference as a Ma and Pa. We are soo excited to do this, we did this about 10 years ago when we lived in St. George and had a wonderful experience and we are hoping for another great experience with the youth in our stake. We go in June on the 20th 21st and 22nd. Can't wait!!

I am so excited to say that once again Parker has made the Honor Roll at school and also the citizenship club for having exceptional behavior. We are so proud of him and his accomplishments. I will have to take a picture of the certificates and get them posted on here. WAY TO GO AGAIN PARKER!!!

Time flys!!

I am just so amazed at how time just speeds right past me!! I havent written on this blog for so long, I just saw that it was in Dec. the last time I wrote. Alot has been going on, all the kids stuff and the daily grind junk. Like I posted earlier Parker is playing the bass and is doing very good at that, Morgan and McKay are off track at the moment so they are driving me nuts with the whole "We're sooo bored" thing, and Aidan and Brielle are just doing the same old thing they always do. It sounds like we have a boring life but somehow it really isnt, the kids and work and home keep us really busy. The weather is supposed to be really good this weekend so we are going to get our vegetable garden ready for planting. I love gardening and haveing fresh veggies it is soo great and the strawberries look like they are going to do better this year than they did last year. Aidan will be happy about that.

We went to St. George for Easter and had a great time with the family. Plus it was nice and warm so the kids swam in the pool almost all day everyday. My little fish!! Here are some pics of this visit.

Parker is the best, in the Jordan School District that is. He was involved in a festival last night that honored the best orchestra players in the District. He plays the Bass and is doing sooo well. His teacher at school nominated him to play in Honors Orchestra and he got it. He only started playing the bass at the beginning of the school year and has made it this far!! I am soo proud of him and I know he will be able to go far with this talent of his. WAY TO GO PARKY!!

Hawaii was great!!! I love it there and I sorta wished that I could stay for a lot longer but it wasnt to be. I am now back and getting back to reality and the kids and house work and laundry and all that wonderful reality stuff. BUT I always have my pictures and great memories to help put me back on the island if only in my fantasy world! :) hehe I can dream right??

Bare Minerals

Ok so yesterday I got my Bare Minerals kit and so I thought I would do the whole "before and after" pics. So here they are, yes the before is scary so just scream already and get over it!! But I am deciding I love this stuff I dont feel like I even have foundation on at all and I love that!! And Ashlynn you were right it does cover up my blotchiness!! Yeaaa!! I am sitting here in my house at my computer typing on this blog and I am freezing!! There is snow in the mountains, and a very light dusting here in the valley, but the temp is freezing! I was just on the Sean Hannity site and he is giving away a Hawaiian Trip, he says" sit on the beach look out at the cool blue water of the ocean, sink your feet in the warm Hawaiian sand and sit back and relax." And I am thinking, " That will be me in 24 days!! WOOHOOO!! closer and closer I just can't wait!!

Garden's at Night!

This last Thursday the Garden's had their Halloween at the Garden's night and so we gathered all the family (that could come) and headed up there. The kids were loving it there were lights and crafts and they all got a paper map with certain stops along the way where you could get a stamp and when they collected all the stamps they were able to take it to the front desk for a little surprise. It was a fun night and a cold one too!! The craft the kids made were spiky dino hat type things they were cute. They had games and a guy from the Tracy Aviary with a great Horned Owl. We got to see the dino's at night lit up, it was pretty cool. Before we left we were able to see a cute puppet show. The kids especially Brielle and Aidan loved it!! We went with Jim, Connie, Tony, Phillip, and Wendy's son Wade.

The Girls New Room

We moved the older boys to the basement (not completely done yet) and so we put Morgan and Brielle together and to make the transition better I painted the room how Morgan wanted it and this is what we ended up with! BTW Morgan LOVES it!!:)

Abby our cat is banished outside from now on, she made the mistake of scratching Brielle on the face for no apparent reason other than Brielle was petting her. It makes me feel bad for Abby cuz it is starting to get cold out, but that is what Allen says, so it is!! It probably wouldn't have been a banishment but this is the second time she has done this!! I think Abby is just getting old and sick of the kids pulling on her and she has started striking bad!! I am soo sorry Abby, but you gotta be nice!!

On Sunday Oct. 8, 2006 Taylor turned 16!! I really cant believe he is already 16 and wanting to date. He even has a girlfriend and she wants to come over and decorate his room to ask him to a dance. I am sooo FREAKED out. I am way too immature for this I just know it!! I am actually nervous to meet this girl that wants to DATE my son. HHEELLPP!! I thought all would be cool when my kids turn 16 but I guess I have the old "cut the cord already" thing going on. Well I guess I am just going to have to get over it and learn to deal with all this new independence that is going on here!!

As the day gets closer and closer I just keep getting more and more excited. 45 Days and Allen and I will be in the air over the ocean on our way to our most needed and most anticipated vacation! The kids are finally over the fact they arent coming and are excited for us (kinda) but they are excited to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Mansell for a week.

Hooray for Aidan!! He is FINALLY using the potty!! Allen and I took him to Wal-Mart the other night to get him his new BIG BOY underpants. He was so excited he chose Thomas the train and Spiderman. We have never been sooo happy!! Now we just need to get Brielle on the potty and that will be the last of our diaper days!!

Playgroup day

On thursday Me, Aidan and Brielle went to the zoo with our neighborhood playgroup. We had fun, but Aidan wouldn't let me take any pics of him after the Turkey photos. I only got the one of him with the elephants when he wasnt looking. So Brielle is the only one in most of these pics.

Well we found out on Saturday night that washable markers arent completely washable. Aidan and Brielle decided to do some art work on themselves and the wall!! Allen found them like this and just had to take pics. We both tried very hard not to laugh but as you can see they were just too cute and so proud of their work! Needless to say my babies went to church with faint purple marker on their faces.

Since school has started it is just Aidan, Brielle and me at home now. We dont mind though, we have alot of fun taking pictures and reading books and watching PBS. We gotta love PBS it is great. Aidans favorite show is CyberChase. Hmmm maybe he will be a math genius!! :)

McKay's Baptism Day

On saturday, September 2,2006 McKay Paul Dellinger was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. We all are so proud of him. We were so glad that most of our family members were able to attend this great event. Great Grandma and Grandpa Burgon, Grandpa Phil Dellinger, Grandma and Grandpa Allen, Aunt Jeanne and Uncle Bruce, my cousins Whitney and David were all there. It was good to see everyone and we had fun at the house afterward eating ice-cream and talking for hours :) I wasnt able to get pictures of the actual dunking of McKay but these are before the dunking. I didnt even think about it either but I didnt get pictures of everyone that was there. It seemed we were all in a hurry to get back to the house for ice-cream and anyone that knows me, ice-cream and good conversation distracts me from everything else.

First day of school

Well the boys have been at school for 2 days now, as I was too lazy to do anything yesterday, and so on the first day when they got home I asked them how it went and they both said I got lost a bunch of times. I asked Taylor when we got his schedule if he wanted to go and look for his classes but he declined, so he kinda got what he deserved, but Parker on the other hand, oh boy what a silly guy, I took him a few days before school started to find all of his classes of which most of his classes are all in the same hall. He told me he had to keep going to the office to find out where all the halls were. UH DUH! I had to laugh, as I told him all his classes were in the same hall. One of his classrooms is directly behind him when he is at his locker even!! Well apparently he was also bored the first day, but he said that now that they are actually starting to learn stuff and doing classwork it is getting better.
As for Taylor being in High School--- Well all I can say is I feel as though I am losing it. He is almost sixteen and his friends are all already sixteen and they drive. He rides with his friend Corey every morning and every afternoon and I dont know but for some reason it just kinda freaks me out. I did the same thing at that age and I am still alive and well but I guess it is just different when you are the parent. Then I was thinking about the weekend activities the high school has like football games and dances and that freaks me out even more!! Oh help me!! I just dont think I am ready for all of this. Mom and Dad how did you deal with it?? Is this normal or am I being a complete control freak?? I feel so out of control and I hate it!! So any advice would be really great!

Oh my goodness, today Taylor started High School and Parker started Middle School!! I am soo nervous for them. Even though when I was driving Parker to school this morning I asked him if he was nervous and excited and he said , " a little", but he seemed to be doing better than I am! I just cant believe that this time has come that my two oldest are in high school and middle school!! The time has gone by sooo fast!! I cant wait until they get home so they can tell me all about their first day!

We had just a little family get together for Morgan's Birthday here is her cake and then she opened her gift. We were surprised she wanted an air soft gun. On saturday was Morgan's birthday! She turned 11!! Wow time goes by sooo fast! She wanted to go to the Red Butte Gardens (one of our favorite places to go, thanks Ash for the family pass). The kids loved playing in the fountains and hunting for dinosaurs, we loved looking at all the neat plants and flowers. They also go to dig dino bones and feed the koi in the pond. There is so much to do here and to look at. We were here for about 3 hours this day, we usually say we will stay for an hour or so but it always ends up to be longer. We have found alot of other places that offer family passes for $50.00 for a whole year. It has been great oh and I also found out that Allen and I can go to the gardens in Hawaii too for free with our cards, I am sooo excited about that!!

I personally cannot stand Barney, but all of my kids as toddlers have loved this big purple dinosaur!! This is Brielle watching Barney the other day, I think she thinks if she is right up to the T.V. she will be able to actually touch Barney. She really does love music and dancing tho, who knows maybe she will become a singer or dancer or maybe even both.

House in Hawaii

Ok here is the house in Hawaii that my parents have rented for all of us, it looks so nice and I cannot wait even though I have to!! Only 93 days, WOOHOO!!! Allen and I have decided that we are going to go with my insane mom and go into the cages to swim with the sharks. I guess no swimming with dolphins that is just to mellow for us!! Anyway this trip is going to be a blast!!

Taylor and Parker had a young men's activity on Tuesday, of which they went swimming , Taylor got home and showed us this, he said he felt like he bruised his ribs. The story goes that he was on the diving board and when he was about to jump off he slipped, fell on his back and then kind of rolled off into the water. OUCH!! he went to the first aid people and they cleaned it off but didnt think he broke any bones yeaaaa. But he was still not a happy camper for the rest of the night.

Allen's Family Reunion

On saturday we had Allen's side of the family reunion. We went to Millcreek Canyon and spent the day together. We had breakfast and then we went for a small hike and came back to the camp to let the kids play in the water, they were catching little baby fish and throwing rocks. The adults spent some time talking to each other and Brielle relaxed in the stroller and ate a sucker. She was quite content. Then we started our lunch which everyone brought tin foil dinners. Allen, or as we like to call him mr. pyro, was excited to get the fire going and him and his brother Tony and Aidan played in the fire. Just as we were finished cooking and eating our dinners it started to rain hard so we had to pack up and leave, we went to Allen's mom's house and made our smores there. The rain was amazing I had to take a pic of an intersection on the way down the mountain to just show how much water there actually was. It was a fun day, even in the rain.

We were finally able to go to This Is The Place Heritage Park. Our first attempt was on the tuesday that we had the major rain and wind storm, as we were driving into the parking lot it was a downpour so we thought we would just sit and wait it out but then the parking lot became a river, so I decided we would just go home. On our way back we decided to eat our picnic lunch at Connie's house. So here are the pics for that.

Allen is the Scout Leader for the 11 year old boys. They just attended their scout camp at Camp Tracy. Only two of the 7 boys showed up. Poor Allen!! Summer is always a busy time to get anyone to get together to do anything!!

So we went back to St. George and the kids decided to make the most of the pool. Aidan has become a little fish with the rest of them. It was good that they played in the pool most of the day because then on our way home the kids slept most of the way. It was sooo quiet!!

We started on our way home with kids not happy to leave Grandma and Grandpa's and the cousins. And then we got to the Richfield Denver exit and this is what we came upon. We sat in traffic for an hour, and then we started to slowly move and saw we were being directed to turn around or go on to Richfield and go to Salt Lake that way. Which would put an extra 2 1/2 hrs. onto our trip. But not only that but all this traffic would end up going the same way so Allen made a decision and we headed back to St. George to the delight of the kids!!

This last weekend

We had a really fun 4th of July weekend. On monday the 3rd we were able to get together with Grandma and Grandpa Burgon and Bruce and Jeanne and their girls. It was a good time and we were able to talk and remember fun things together. The kids love to go to the grandparents home, they always have fun playing in the yard and the basement in the toy closet.
On the 4th we got up early and went to our neighborhood and ward breakfast. The food was good and the kids and adults had fun having a water fight. I think everyone there young and older got wet. It was fun. Then later in the afternoon we had some friends over to bar-b-que with us, the first thing to happen is that we ran out of fuel for the grill while we were in the middle of cooking LOL and then this huge storm blew in and it rained hard for awhile. The rain let up long enough for us to enjoy the fireworks which we watched in our neighbors back yard. Then it started to rain again and we went home. We stayed out until almost midnight and hoped the kids would sleep in for a bit this morning but it was not to be!! We were all up at 7 am. grrrr!! So that is our weekend and we had tons of fun!! Hope you all did too!!

We had Brielles first Birthday this last Saturday. Mom and Dad and Allen's Mom and stepdad came, Ashlynn came and Jen and Dave and their crew came. The kids played, the adults talked, and then we had cake!! Brielle had her own of course and only ate the icing, she could care less about the cake part. Then when she had her fill of icing I gave her a bath and she opened her present which is a walker helper type of toy, it converts into a four wheeler. She likes to ride it but can only go backwards by herself, she doesn't care tho she just giggles. End of School Year Blues....My poor kids

Today the kids (Parker, Morgan, McKay) attended their last day at school. I have to tell you the story of this last day.... the story begins with Parker and his last day of being a 6th grader which means next year he will be going to Junior High. Morgan and McKay will also be going to a new elementary school so I thought that the last day of school was going to be a joyful celebratory time for these kids, I thought they would come home and be happy and bouncing off the walls, mostly because of sugar and the parties in the classrooms. I was shocked when Parker and Morgan got off the bus and came to the house crying... I couldnt figure why these two would be so upset so I asked them what was going on. Parker through his tears said to me that he would miss his friends as he is the only kid in the class going to a different Junior High. Morgan was crying because her best friend didnt show up for school and she was afraid she would never see her again as these two have been split by the new school boundaries. McKay was ok though because his best friend lives only a few houses away from us and will go to the new school as well. So this is my afternoon with my kids... explaining that just because they will go to different schools doesnt mean they wont be able to get together with their friends. Boy what an afternoon!!! :(

This is July 4 of last year we were in the hospital with Brielle most of the day but then we made it back to our friends house where we had a bar-b-que and went to Murray park with them to watch the fireworks. I love the 4th and cant wait for this year!! We are having a ward breakfast at the park in our neighborhood, the kids are going to have activities and a parade, I think it will be lot's of fun!!

It's been awhile

Well the reason I havent been on for awhile is because I am kinda lazy right now, mostly due that I am restoring the potassium I lost 2 weeks ago and had to make a trip to the emergency room. I am fine now just a little on the tired side until I get my levels up again. Brielle had her first Birthday on Tuesday the 27th, I cant believe that she is already one, it blows me away. On Saturday evening we are going to have a little party for her with the family, I hope it goes well. Maybe I can get Allen to help me with some pics and I will put some up from the party. This pic is Brielle one year ago she has come a long way. What a precious little spirit.

Do I laugh or do I cry? I didn't know what to do when my husband showed me this picture of our 7 year old son's school spring pictures. I do not let my kids go to school looking like this especially on a picture day, but we didnt know it was a picture day!! I believe on the morning of this picture I was laying down with my 11 month old who had an ear infection at the time and we had been up most of the night. My seven year old came into the room and I looked at him and told him to please comb your hair and change your clothes they are filthy, obviously he didnt listen to me.
